Spills, rips, and “oops” moments. That’s where Sh!t Happens steps in. 


A fashion accessories brand that turns everyday messes into style statements, by offering bold, eccentric and unique patches for clothes and tote bags that celebrate chaos, self-expression, and the art of being imperfectly perfect. 


The founders approached Grapdes to bring this vision to life through a cohesive brand identity that could channel the same spirited energy on its website.


The market (entry)

In a world obsessed with minimalism and muted aesthetics, Sh!t Happens flipped the script. It found its space among a generation done with filters and perfection, people who find beauty in breakdowns, personality in flaws, and humour in chaos.


This cultural shift toward authenticity opened space for a brand that could be both bold and relatable. Instead of quiet elegance, we chose expressive voice, the kind that makes you stop, smile, and say, “That’s so me.”



Design philosophy

The aim was to create an energetic and tactile visual experience that feels raw yet thoughtfully composed. To amplify the brand’s energy, a clear visual hierarchy guided the eye, with striking imagery, expressive typography, and vibrant colour accents. Splatter textures and close-up fabric details added depth and a handcrafted feel, and generous whitespace ensured the design remained balanced and breathable.



Communication strategy

The narrative-led communication approach focused on clarity with character. The tone was bold yet humanistic and witty, employing sharp on-brand copy like “See what sticks.” The strategy was to offer clarity while reinforcing brand personality.

Website design & development

The digital experience was built to make visitors nod, connect [not just scroll] and shop.


  • Micro-animations: Hover effects, flickering elements, and subtle transitions brought playful movement without distraction.

  • Dynamic layering: Angled cut-outs and off-grid sections brought motion and play, making the interface feel alive.

  • Interactive UX: Semi-transparent overlays and shifting layouts gave a sense of motion, echoing the brand’s restless, vibrant energy.




Impact

The final outcome positions Sh!t Happens as the voice of a tribe that shares an unfiltered outlook on life, forming a community rooted in self-expression and authenticity.
